[IRCA] TP 28 Aug Victoria version
A certain lack of DUs this morning, but a first appearance from one
of the CRI stations and of VoA on 1575.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1247UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA woman and man in Korean 1246UT
1566 HLAZ nice bit of local sunset enhancement 0959UT, fading up to
this level with man in Korean, mention of FEBC, 3 and one pips on the
hour followed by a jazzy interlude. Didn't get to this level again
until the Japanese broadcast after 1230UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 pop vocal 1236UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese 1206UT, //828
774 JOUB 1153UT man in Japanese //828
954 JOKR man and woman in Japanese 1305UT
963 CRI presumed with woman in Russian 1244UT
1053 Korean jammer, also local sunset 1000UT; at this level a number
of other times closer to local sunrise.
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 man talking, Japanese inflection 1242UT
828 JOBB woman in Japanese //774 1053UT and several times closer to
local sunrise.
1287 man and woman talking, Japanese inflection1144UT
1575 VoA traces of Yankee Doodle 1300UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)

1242 1314 1332 1422 1503
