[IRCA] RCA RP 7887

It is probably pretty old news by now, but I see that the Superadio 3 now has the RCA nameplate on it. I have DXed for years using the old GE Superadio 2 and of course found that superior to the Sup.3 in many ways. Of course the Sup.3 does cover the expanded broadcast band (although with my Sup.2 I can easily get all the way up to 1660). The RCA RP 7887 is available online through the various retailers (Amazon, Sears, Target, WalMart, etc...) I wonder if the folks at RCA could ever be convinced to really kick this receiver up a notch for a fourth generation, perhaps with digital readout, digital signal processing, some special tweaking in the IF section?....In other words, make it the same kind of DX performer that some of the ultralights 1/10th its size are. That would be something to look forward to.
