[IRCA] 1080-AFN Daegu Moves to 1440

From Chris Kadlec in South Korea,Âcopied from a Facebook post:

In Korea AM News: 1080 AFN Daegu has vacated the frequency and moved to 1440 as they upgraded their equipment.

This will give them a more open frequency to broadcast on compared to 1080 that was packed with jammers trying to block the 1500kw North Korean propaganda machine as well as MBC Yeosu. AFN Daegu was lucky to peek through the holes in that mess now and then. Now on 1440, they are in at 45dBu in Seoul battling only Sapporo and the mystery omnipresent off-air tone. 1440 is an AFN frequency here in Korea with a few low-powered (1kw and less) stations. I'm going to imagine the power is still 5kw. 1080 is currently wide open and even the jammer has been turned off at the moment.
