Re: [IRCA] TP 21 May Victoria version

Thanks Theo. It seems possible that 4BU and 4CC (plus relays) could be carrying same program on weekend overnight as they do during the week, but 4BU's website seems very unclear as to what happens on Saturday nights after the witching hour . "Jukebox Saturday Night" seems to be carried by a lot of stations, but I think that ends at midnight local time. 4CC carries it, 4BU maybe not, though this site says it did: https://www.radioinfo.com.au/news/80-years-old-and-still-going-strong-bundaberg%E2%80%99s-4bu (they are both Grant Broadcasters stations if that means anything; haven't been able to track anything down yet)

Maybe a personal plea to the station(s)? Given the foul conditions of late, these two possibilities are likely worth pursuing.

best wishes,

Nick

Weeeell, highly unlikely to be the Junior Land Down Under even though both 1332 and 1584 are owned by the same outfit -- 1332 is R. Sport -- and 1584 is Coast, and it would be upsetting for the Rest Home Radio folks to be carrying rock rhythms even after midnight local.

Over on the West Island in the 10 pm hour, the network info .pdf from 2GB's site shows only what goes out their Mon-Thurs evenings 4BU (and 3SH for that matter) plus 4CC/827/1584 are listed... so Big Maybe they also carry what goes out on Saturday evenings as well?

Sorry, this Knight's shining armour is obviously burnished and not reflecting what you need to know.

Was going to send another tentative Tahiti report, copying yesterday's yet again, but then a couple of really odd ones popped up, and I sure hope that Theo D. has his DU overknight knetworks knowledge tuned up...these would be good stuff at home, anything on these channels would be new (knew?)

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

1332 came close

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

738 pop music 1203UT

1332 unID (Australia? 4BU??) singing first noted 1206UT, and seemed to be pretty much continuous music until 1220UT or so, erratic fading....and the next logging provides a clue

1584 unID rock rhythm 1208UT....sure seemed parallel to 1332 at this time. Anything on this channel is serious DX even at the coast.....suggestions??

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

Nick
