Note that the CMC-0510-R is designed for coaxial applications.
If you're running speaker wire or CAT-5 instead, you can go with what's in Lankford's article.

30 (or more) turns twisted pair on Steward 35T1417-00H toroid (FT114-75 or FT114-J also usable).
Twisted pair can be conductors removed from a piece of CAT5 cable.
Toroid core plus twisted pair plus plastic electrical-work-box plus banana jack binding posts will probably run you about $15.
