[IRCA] TP 22 Mar Victoria version
Liveliness was not the watchword this morning. There was a bit of a
sunrise lift, which was just as well, as there was very little before
then. Amazingly poor performance, given the apparently benign
geomagnetic conditions.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ choral music, 1332UT; previous occasional fade ups to
Japanese speech didn't quite make it to this level.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1208UT, another man agreeing
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
792 4RN 1400UT ABC news fanfare and "ABC news" by woman crept through
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
576 2RN man talking 1349UT, pretty poor. Music at 1357UT seemed
//792 which was ID'd as 4RN.
612 4QR? man talking, seemed to have DU English inflection 1354UT;
nothing on hour
747 JOIB 1403UT woman talking //828, sounded like English
lessons? but schedule says Korean?
828 JOUB 1403UT as above //747
1053 Korean jammer 1345UT
1242 woman talking 1401UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
1107
best wishes,
Nick
