Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] Canada station question

99% sure CBR *wasn't* what Kraig heard.

"News from the national newsroom of the Canadian Press" is the standard open of the hourly national newscast from Canadian Press, which is a commercial product that airs on private stations.

CBR would have opened its hourly newscast with "CBC News, I'm..." - and it would have started right on the hour, not at 00:57 as CP's newscast does.

You can easily lock into the lifestream off of CBC.ca

There are not a lot of Calgary or Alberta stations on 1010 that can carry
that far.

OK. Thanks. Rats. Was hoping I heard CBR in Calgary. March 11, 2016 1010
kHz 0101 UTC (2001 ET) female with "News from the national newsroom of the
Canadian Press". Began with item on hospitals in Calgary and then item on
employment situation in Alberta.

Based on the 2 Alberta items I was hoping I heard CBR.
