[IRCA] TP DX in Seattle on March 2



It was another relatively productive morning today with lots of carriers up and down the dial. The high band signals seemed to peak at about 1435, the low banders about a half hour earlier.

GOOD - most of it would be understandable by a native speaker

972    HLCA, Korean talk 1440 as strong as 970
1422    JORF 1539 Japanese male talk, as strong as the 1420 domestics

FAIR - a native speaker would have recognized words and phrases
981    CNR1, Chinese talk //1593 cutting through the CKNW squawks 1435
1557    Pop'ish songs 1436, stronger than 1566 at times, probably TAiwan
1566    HLAZ, Chinese talk 1435
1593    CNR1 Chinese talk //981 during pauses in KLFE audio 1438

POOR - recognizable program content, not understandable
