[IRCA] TP 14 Feb Victoria version
Another odd morning. Practically no action except on the channels
were there was action. Best signals were, um, HLQH-558 and
CNR1-639, which could be listened to in AM mode at one point, with
640 as a nondescript het. Signal strengths on weaker channels were
quite erratic.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
639 CNR1 man in Chinese 1510UT //6125
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
558 HLQH fairly lively pop music for this one 1520UT //603 which was
much weaker at this point
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
603 HLSA single pip heard on hour 1500UT, then some soft music, and
very laid back man in Korean //558
747 JOIB English lessons 1511UT //774
774 JOUB English lessons 1507UT
972 HLCA assumed, pop music 1525UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1508UT, better on north Flag
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 JOIK man presumed in Japanese 1517UT //594 which wasn't much either
828 man talking //774 1404UT
1593 CNR1 barely there in splash //639 1512UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
891 1314 1575
best wishes,
Nick
