[IRCA] TP 19 Jan Victoria version
A bit of a mix today, some Aussie, but more Asia than expected.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today either
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 was close at times, 1344UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
612 4QR likely man in DU English 1518UT, weaker by 1535UT, but at
that time, easily matching the strength of 610 domestics
828 JOBB soft instrumental music and pips 1200UT, beginning of
English lessons: "Welcome!" by man.
972 HLCA man and woman in Korean, into pop ballad 1344UT; a reprise
with androgynous male pop music 1526UT; still there but weak, by 1554UT
1116 4BC likely w/man in DU English, woman on phone 1454UT; somewhat
weaker at 1536UT, but still hanging in there
1575 likely VoA woman in SE Asian language 1348UT, man on phone;
signal in and out until past 1400UT, with no apparent ID on hour
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
738 Tahiti likely. Man talking, French inflection 1001UT
747 JOIB recognizable woman's voice for the English lessons 1320UT
774 JOUB; extreme minimalist DX, man talking (3LO?) mixing with s/off
chimes 1541UT
792 man mumbling 1535 UT, no possible parallels, but there is a
Brisbane station here
936 man mumbling 1525UT; note that yes, there is a Brisbane station here
1566 pop music 1541-2UT, likely HLAZ per past listening
1593 CNR1 woman talking, then piano music 1533UT //6125, held in
until after 1538UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
621 702 837 1557
best wishes,
Nick
