I live about 40 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and generally in the
S.F. Bay area RF swamp of MW stations. On occasions I have been able to
receive trans-Pacific stations that lie more or less halfway between local
MW frequencies by using the narrowest SSB bandwidth on my R-75 which is
about 2.4 kHz and selecting the sideband farthest from the more powerful
signal. I have no room for a long beverage and am limited to a 100 ft "L"
shaped random wire or a pair of 10 foot verticals I use with my Quantum
Phaser.
The the Phaser I can reduce local MWs dramatically.
Any ideas or suggestions ??
