[IRCA] TP 5 Dec Victoria version
Once again, things pretty much died after about 1400UT here. Best
period seemed to be just before then. Although I recorded earlier
than 1330UT, there wasn't much exciting then either.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ man and woman in Japanese, then male vocal, almost operatic
1328UT; mostly fair to good signal through to Japanese program end at
1345UT, and sometimes the following Chinese program was a bit readable also.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1339UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
828 JOBB pretty much just the pips 1000UT; never heard this later
1134 JOQR....pretty sure I heard the JOQR chimes leading up to pip
at 1200UT, but really reaching at this point; call it tentative
1386 man talking 1350UT, suspect Japan, but no parallels
1503 JOGB lively Japanese talk //594 1346UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
738 1242 1332 1422 1494
best wishes,
Nick
