[IRCA] TP 11Oct Victoria version

As mentioned earlier, a real mix, but with the Grayland guys weighing in, Tonga seems more likely on 1017 than my guess at a possible Filipino. Overall, a lot of stations, with many I probably missed, but not a lot of strong stations. Also, unlike Grayland, apparently, quite a few New Zealand stations seemed to be appearing here.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB man in Japanese 1252UT with a likely 3LO burbling way below

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

738 pop music 1258UT presumed Tahiti
828 JOBB man in Japanese //774 1306UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK man in Japanese 1301UT
693 JOAB man in Japanese squeaking through the ghastly CBU splash 1257UT
702 Simon and Garfunkel song, not //612 1406UT, but no other possible ABC parallels; Magic? 1017 likely Tonga, as had been on late with rugby. Man and woman talking 1417UT was the peak; wondered if Tagalog, but Tonga seems more likely on a relisten.
1287 JOHR woman in Japanese followed by odd sounds, a game, then a man.
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1301UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 unID man talking, woman on phone 1401UT, DU English sound to it, but quite faint
612 4QR assumed w/man talking w/ DU English inflection 1405UT
819 man talking,, too much splash 1408UT
882 Star, female vocal ballad, //909; a tough one due to 880 splash
891 man talking, DU Englishe 1522UT
909 Star, female vocal ballad, briefly //882 before that faded down 1316UT
1008 man talking, DU English inflection?
1053 Korean jammer 1354UT
1107 man talking, DU English inflection, 1415UT
1242 woman in Japanese?? 1411- 24UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

531 576 621 675 756 855 864 873 918 954 1026 1035 1134 1332 1575

best wishes,

Nick
