[IRCA] TP 25 Sep Victoria version

As mentioned earlier, a real hodge podge of Asia and DU, with the later favored, especially as sunrise approached. Probably missed some DX, as it was erratic, and splashy here today.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

612 4QR woman and man in DU English //774 1349UT
747 JOIB English lessons 1205UT
774 3LO 1349UT, woman and man DU English //612, overpowering JOUB which hadn't been doing that well before anyway
828 JOBB English lessons, pips at 1300UT, into Korean lessons
1287 JOHR briefly at this level, man in Japanese 1352UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese, 1342UT, "FEBC desu", didn't notice any fall off on signal at this time here.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

567 JOIK man in Japanese 1256UT not //594 as breakout for local news per PAL.
576 2RN jazz peaking at 1338UT, into piano solo...traces of solo turned up on 621 and 603.
738 2NR man in DU English //612 1355UT
774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1335UT
792 4RN ABC news 1401UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

558 unID soft vocal music 1255UT, maybe HLQH, but no sign of 603
594 3WV woman talking //612, taking over from JOAK 1331UT
702 2BL woman talking //612 1351UT
864 unID man talking 1242UT peaked with rock music 1244UT, faded down by 1250UT mayber Japanese talk by man?
972 HLCA woman in Korean , pips at 1300UT
1116 4BC? man in DU English 1343UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 6 pips came through 1200UT 4KZ?
585 7RN man talking //576, but also rock music there, becoming dominant at 1402UT
603 2RN traces of jazz piano //576, but lagging by the better part of a second
846 2RN man talking 1353UT //621
891 man DU English? 1347UT
954 unID woman and man talking 1354UT, too splashy for guess at language
963 unID slow music 1357UT,
1134 maybe JOQR, woman Japanese inflection 1343UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

639 855 873 936 1008 1017 1044 1098 1143 1179 1269 1323 1386 1422

best wishes,

Nick
