[IRCA] TP 18 Sep Victoria version

A lot more DU than originally perceived, but didn't stop a number of second tier Japanese from checking in.

Things got quite thick between 1330 and 1345UT, so probably missed some DX.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1239UT
747 JOIB woman in Japanese //774 1327UT brief peak
774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1314UT //828, also Chinese lessons 1336UT, better on north Flag 1566 HLAZ. woman in Japanese, lively organ music, 1339UT, a number of other good peaks during the Japanese program

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

792 4RN man in DU English 1343UT //576, adjusted Flag termination to bring this out of splatter
909 soft music 1344UT, disappeared on north Flag, likely Star?
972 HLCA 2 men and a woman in Korean 1342UT
1053 Korean jammer 1330UT
1116 4BC likely man in DU English 1328UT
1242 JOLF woman in Japanese 1340UT
1287 JOHR r&b vocal 1340UT, better on north Flag

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

531 unID, soft music 1329UT
567 JOIK man talking 1326UT //594, something else also
603 soft music, had a Pacific Island sound, so maybe not Korea? 1311UT
612 4QR man in DU English 1344UT, no parallel right then
891 5AN ABC news fanfare 1330UT; other signal(s) there too
954 JOKR man in Japanese 1339UT best on north Flag
1134 JOQR man and woman in Japanese 1334UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

621 3RN bass line with bluesy vocal //846 1312UT
693 JOAB tough in CBU splat, but woman talking //774 1243UT
738 likely Tahiti, man talking French inflection 1301UT
756 RNZ National woman talking 1209UT, //675, also pretty weak
846 2RN blues vocal //621 1313UT
873 JOGB woman in Japanese //774 1238UT
918 music with pulsing bass line 1332UT, man talking sounded DU English
1008 faint vocal music 1325UT
1386 light music not //774 at 1334 and 1340UT; went away when switched to north Flag

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

702 819 837 936 1089 1098 1107 1179 1188 1296 1314 1512 1539 1548 1593

best wishes,

Nick
