AsÂDennisÂhas already reported, Asian signals improved dramatically this morning. Sunrise really brought out the Land of the Rising Sun, and anything Japanese seemed to get aÂspecial boost (even 1566-HLAZ's Japanese service).ÂThe NHK big guns on 594, 693, 774 and 828 all had their best signals of the new season, and 1134-JOQR made another rare appearance here late in the session. 972-HLCAÂeven managed its best signal this month,Âtemporarily reaching an S9 level around 1330. 
 
At my 1250 start time the Japanese were already at good levels on 594, 693, 747 and 828,Âwhile 1566-HLAZ followed the same predawn trend with its Japanese service. As daylightÂbroke around 1310 the NHK big guns allÂreceived a potent boost, and 594-JOAKÂsustained a very goodÂlevel around 1335. The NHK2 Korean language lessons on 693 and 747Âalso pounded in with serious strength from 1305-1320, while 972-HLCA went on aÂhuge runÂjust after this, hitting S9 peaks around 1330. The secondÂtier Asians didn't seem to share much in the propagation bonanza, though, with 603-HLSA only reaching a fair level around 1338 and 738-BEL2 only managing poor signals in the San Francisco splatter. Late on in the session 1134-JOQR once again rode the Japanese trend toÂmade a rare appearance above the Vancouver splatter with itsÂtypical "male talking with giggly female" conversation. Asian signals held up until around 1350 here,Âwith the NHK big guns on 594 and 747 the last toÂfade. Overall it was a very decent session forÂmid-September in a lean solar year.
