I think you're right, 909 MW is Radio 5 Live, from UK (I live here), and it's a bane on the low HF if not attnuated a bit because here, it's very strong. If you get 198 LW, Radio 4, you might get our shipping forecasts, they have a cult following... I don't know what receiver you're using, but you may be able to separate those two with the 1KHz filter on a Tecsun PL-390 or PL-380. Offset tuned SSB might do it too, if it can make enough timbral difference for a brain to pick out the detail. (It works for NDB's for me, but maybe not so well for speech bandwidths, but worth a try).
