[IRCA] TP 7 Aug Victoria version
Probably a good morning on the coast...oh, wait....
Oddly, the hot part of the band here was the higher frequencies, not
the lower ones that Gary reported, and here things peaked by 1240UT,
and were pretty much done by 1300UT.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
738 likely Tahiti, Latin sounding pop vocals 1148UT, woman in FF
1201UT, sounded like Indian pop at 1242UT
1566 unID man DU English 1238UT, lots of numbers, with individuals'
names, sports scores? Sometimes sounded excited enough to be live
sports. Mentions of "tackles" points to rugger? This was one of the
more regular channels, but darned if I could hear any ID while
dipping through the half hour or so that it was fading up to readable
levels. Didn't sound like 3NE, though a couple of mentions of
Australia. Is the NZ here really Chinese?
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
891 man giving numbers in DU English, maybe 4TAB, but at 1239UT
didn't seem //1539
1539 man carrying on in DU English, horse racing? 1239UT
1593 islandish pop music 1240UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
1161 man talking DU English? 1222UT
1314 man talking 1232UT, DU English?
1386 Indian? vocal music 1236UT
1422 man talking DU English inflection, 1225UT
1503 female vocal pop music 1226UT
1611 woman talking 1235UT
1674 man talking 1242UT
1701 big hum, woman talking 1242UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
612 621 675 702 756 828 855 1116 1179 1206 1215 1278
1296 1323 1341 1467 1476 1512 1575 1629 1638 1665 1683
best wishes,
Nick
