[IRCA] TP 13 Mar Victoria version
Nothing like yesterday, with signal levels mostly way down, but still
a couple of items of interest....China on 1179?? HLAZ still holding
forth with good signal at 1621UT?? Most of the interesting DX was
1400UT and for a few minutes following, nothing like the brawling
intensity of 1230UT and following from yesterday, and then the out of
control sunrise enhancement.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
972 HLCA man in KK 1251UT
1566 HLAZ woman in CC 1514UT was the strongest signal on this one
(outside of a couple of JJ program peaks earlier), but then there
were a couple of other good peaks in the following hour, with another
good peak at 1618UT with a woman singing accompanied by orchestra,
and it seemed to be building again at 1621UT with alto saxophone mx
when the recording ran out.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB EE lessons 1312UT
1053 KK jammer 1309UT
1287 JOHR another latecomer with pop mx 1535UT, and still showing
traces of audio after 1600UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK woman in JJ 1305UT
702 unID China, woman in CC 1408UT, o/NHK2
774 JOUB EE lessons ending in pips 1300UT
828 JOBB EE lessons //774 1301UT
945 CNR1? man in CC 1414UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 JOIK man talking //594 1408UT
603 deep voiced man, maybe KK, points to HLSA 1405UT
702 NHK2 KK lessons //774 1408UT, but CC talk became dominant
738 pop mx 1230UT
873 JOGB mx at end of CC lessons 1359UT, pips
981 man talking CC inflection 1358UT, dead by the hour
1017 man talking, KK? 1409UT. CRI?
1179 CC pips and little else 1400UT, wonder who this may be?
1206 woman talking, hum 1401UT
1242 man talking, might be JJ 1414UT
1323 CRI mx normally leading up to chimes and fanfare (unheard) 1359UT
1386 NHK2 KK lessons //774 1414UT
1575 VoA? woman SE Asian language inflection 1421UT, no sign at 1430UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
621 846 855 864 891 936 1044 1089 1098 1107 1134
best wishes,
Nick
