[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 1-25 (Conclusion)

Hello All,

Asian conditions here this morning certainly seemed better than those reported by Bruce or Walt, but this location typically favors the Korean and Chinese stations over the Japanese (unlike what most of the other TP-DXers seem to experience). Although both 603-HLSA and a presumed 603-ChinaÂhad decent signals before and after 1500, the clear star of the morningÂhere was 1593-CNR1-- pounding in on a monster run from 1525-1535.

At my 1430 start time the low band had quite a fewÂAsians in fair audio, including 594, 603 (HLSA), 693, 747 and 828. The Koreans on 972 and 1134Âalso were managing fair to good peaks, and the high band featured fair audio from 1566-HLAZ, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1. The low band Japanese stayed at modest levels throughout the session, but 603-HLSA built up strength just before 1500 with a Korean radio drama, reaching its best level of the new year (good) at times. After 1500 the high band seemed to get a serious boost, with 1503-JOUK joining the Asians on 1566, 1575 and 1593 with good peaks in and out of the splatter. 1593-CNR1 broke away from the Seattle hash with a very potent run from 1525-1535-- managing its best signal level here since January 18th of last year (and one of its strongest signals ever). Around 1538 a re-check of 603 kHzÂfound aÂfairly strong station which sounded Chinese, but no parallels were available to confirm the identity. 603-China often pushes 603-HLSA aside late in sunrise enhancement here, and someÂweak Chinese on 639 at the time (for the first time in 2015)Âprovided further evidence. 657-Pyongyang also got in its first weak tirade ofÂthe new yearÂaround 1518, managing toÂsqueak out a few anemic outbursts before it was thankfully silenced by domestic hash. Altogether it wasÂthe best overall session of 2015 here, with potent Asian signals on both the low and high band.
