I bought a Realistic DX-66 in the mid-1980s. It's been my mom's kitchen radio since the early '90s and is still going strong. No scratchy pots. No slop in the tuning mechanism.

Like a lot of folks, I have a lot of 25 year old and even older Radio Shack products that are still working fine.
