Re: [IRCA] An even longer graveyard reception?



Thanks for all of the interesting possibilities!  Now I'll float my
hypothesis.  I managed to convince myself that I was hearing "...or on the
go with K-X-E-O" and maybe even "Mexico" after that, for KXEO Mexico MO.  I
did have the loop antenna pointed roughly SW-NE so that fits, although I
can't be 100% sure that my phased cardioid pattern (loop + vertical) was
nulled SW.  Several minutes before the audio clip, I flipped the invert
switch on the phaser with the loop in the same position, but it was just a
rumble.

I hadn't thought about KAZ's point about the relative lack of groundwave
interference being another factor other than the lower density of stations,
but that makes a lot of sense.
