Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] Sad News

Patrick and Mark,

I'm very sorry to read of the passing of Dave Williams. I had the chance to meet him during one of Bruce's get-togethers a few years back, and admired his dedication (and yours, Patrick) in making the long trip to Seattle just to chat about DX.

Graham Maynard's passing was a pretty great shock to me, as we had cooperated on various antenna projects and Ultralight radio modifications over the past few years. His ferrite sleeve article in February of 2011 started theÂrecent development of FSL antennas, which in turn led to the related discovery of enhanced ocean cliff transoceanic propagation. He was truly a major innovator on the technical side of the hobby.
