Hello All,
Â
As Richard has reported from Oklahoma Asian propagation slid downhill somewhat this morning, with vibrant audio limited to theÂJapanese and KoreanÂbig guns. Second-tier Asians were primarily missing in action, although there were a few ghostly signals on 603,Â657 and 1044.
Â
In the predawn darkness at my 1305 start time only 594-JOAK, 972-HLCA and the 1053-Jammer were managing fair audio in and out, and all the second-tier TP's were comatose. Around 1330 theÂNHK2Âstations on 693, 747 and 774 joined the Big Gun Revue with fair signals, andÂboth 603-HLSA and 1044-CRI reached threshold levels. That was pretty much the story until around 1420, when the increasing daylight gave a moderate boost to (who else?) the big guns. 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA briefly reached very good levels with theÂselective sunrise enhancement, while 657-Pyongyang barely managed threshold audio at 1345, replacing 603-HLSA and 1044-CRI (who had long since bailed).Â693-JOAB, 747-JOIB and 774-JOUBÂrose up toÂbrief good levels with the sunrise boost, and 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA both sounded very healthy until around 1455, whenÂeven the big guns sank into the noise. Best signal of the lackluster morning (very good) was fromÂ972-HLCA at 1426, although 594-JOAK at 1438 wasn't far behind.
