Hello All,
Â
Like Bruce has reported theÂAsian propagationÂimproved quite a bit this morning in comparison to previous days, with both the Japanese and Korean big guns receiving a potent sunrise enhancement boost late in the session here. Although several of these stations reached S9+ levels (and 603-HLSA managed its best signal of the new season), theÂChinese signals were still mostly missing in action.
Â
At my 1300 start time 972-HLCA was already pounding in at an S9+ level, a signal which wouldÂoften be repeatedÂduring the next hour during its KBS singing practice program. There was a definite Japanese trend this morning with 594-JOAK, 693-JOAB, 747-JOIB, 774-JOUB, 828-JOBB and 1287-JOHRÂall unusually vibrant in the early darkness, with 594 hitting an S9 level with Japanese female talk around 1323Â(during the standard NHK1 "fun bunch" program on our local Sunday morning).ÂBesides 972-HLCA certain Korean big guns also did very well, with both the 1053-Jammer and 1134-KBS receiving a potent boost during sunrise enhancement to manageÂvery good levels. 603-HLSA also did the same around 1356, with the KBS2Âdeep-voiced male all alone at very good strength (without Chinese competition)-- its best signal of the new season. Chinese signals were weak, however, with only feeble audio in and out from 639-CNR1 (around 1350), 738-BEL2 (poor audio in and out throughout the session) and 1593-CNR1 (poor audio in the predawn darkness). 1566-HLCA also sounded pretty anemic here after 1300, and the rest of the high band was nothing to shout about. Best signal of the session (by far) was from 972-HLCA aroundÂ1352, with Korean pop music pegging the PL-380 S/N display briefly. Hopefully the Asians will continue their positive trend tomorrow.
