Does anyone have a source for a glossary of all the abbreviations used in various emails? I am just starting to get active on the list and can't decipher a lot of the information being presented.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
nope
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
nope
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
576 2RN two men in DU EE 1244UT, faded down by hour, but still heard
pips and ABC fanfare
612 4QR man in DU EE 1259UT, not //774, but was parallel for pips and
ABC fanfare on the hour
891 5AN? man in DU EE 1247UT, mx behind it
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
675 laid back male vocals 1139UT
693 JOAB EE lessons 1255UT, not //774 which wasn't JOUB...or 828
which wasn't JOBB...this is usually the least common of the NHK2 big
guns, due to CBU
702 woman talking, seemed DU EE 1308UT, no parallels available
738 Tahiti? pop mx 1257UT
756 woman DU EE? 1244UT, no parallels available, only 576 delivering
audio just now.
828 3GI woman talking 1159UT, very weak, but 6 pips on hour and seemed //774
1116 4BC? 2 men DU EE? 1257UT
1503 man talking DU EE? 1128UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
594 846 864 909 963 972 1008 1098 1107 1134
best wishes,
Nick
