Back in July I woke up early one quiet morning in Barrington IL to take a 1000 recording which didn't have much of value on it, but about 25 minutes later as the sun was rising there was some weak audio from presumed 2BL. 738 had a carrier but now audio. 1017 had a decent carrier but would've needed several dB more signal for audio. It isn't uncommon for me to dredge up trace audio on 702 during DU season, provided things are quiet. That of course means power lines as well as atmospherics.
I'm in Grafton WI for the week now and can easily get up at 1045 tomorrow (vacation so I will just go back to bed after) to look for DU's as I can just hook up to the other end of my shorter TA BOG and have about 490 feet aimed about 243 deg.
Yeah, WRPQ is a nuisance. Hopefully in Sept they will come on later.
