[IRCA] TP 16 Aug Victoria version

The Asians are getting pretty predictable, 774, 972, 1287, 1566 until about 1230UT, when DU's (somewhat less predictable) are starting to kick in until after 1300UT

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not today

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

738 Tahiti assumed w/ James Brown and the well-known island ditty "I Feel Good" 1253UT
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1155UT
1566 HLAZ assumed w/slow vocal mx 1136UT; heard more weakly at other times w/CC talk. It didn't get any better than this today during the JJ program

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 man in DU EE 1205UT, first sign of DU, no parallels available
612 4QR assumed, woman w/news in DU EE 1302UT
675 R. NZ National, 2 men DU EE 1252UT, paired up with 756 later
702 2BL? man in DU EE 1250UT, no parallels then, but paralleled with 612 1304UT when it was much weaker
774 JOUB man in JJ 1153UT
891 2 men DU EE, seemed to be about horse racing? but not live coverage. 4TAB?
963 Southern Star. laid back vocal mx //909 1252UT, this showed a fair bit of audio over the next 10 or 15 minutes today
972 HLCA, man in KK 1129UT, man and woman in KK at 1151UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

756 R. NZ National, man DU EE,1301UT //675
909 Southern Star, laid back vocal mx 1252UT //963
1197 unID. man talking rapidly 1155UT, sounded JJ....would be quite a catch, whatever it was.

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

657 747 819 828 1017 1035 1098 1116 1125 1269 1323 1458 1503 1548

best wishes,

Nick
