Lots of splatter this morning, lots of carriers, and quite a bit of
audio, some of it rather puzzling. A fine morning for the end of April.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ. Even the CC program did well at times this morning. Man
in CC, bits of orchestral mx, more man talking 1201UT, but popped up
at various other times as well. Was doing reasonably well when the
CC program ended at 1229UT, but the JJ program came up at full
strength at 1230UT with standard announcements.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1287 JOHR. Woman in JJ 1207UT.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB. EE lessons, easily recognized even when weak by the EE
lady's, ah, distinctive, voice. Best at 1225UT.
972 HLCA. Last pip at 1200UT heard weakly as this faded up to man in
KK 1201UT; also noted w/woman in KK at 1233UT.
1053 KK jammer at 1208UT
1323 CRI. Various snippets of audio from 1149UT, ID'd by chimes and
fanfare that were heard weakly at 1200UT, but by 1216UT, woman in
recognizable RR.
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
702 2BL. Barely there, but pips and ABC fanfare crept through the
crud at 1300UT
738 Tahiti? Rock vocal mx 1209UT
747 JOIB. EE lessons //774 1204UT
909 unID. Man talking 1203UT, too much splash to guess at language.
1035 unID. Man talking, maybe DU EE? 1205UT, far too much splash.
1206 Yanbian? Man talking, then woman 1210UT, off channel, too much
1200UT to guess at language.
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
567 828 1008 1026 1098 1251 1278 1503 1548
best wishes,
Nick
