At 9:42pm Central time I did a loop check on WMVP 1000khz.
 They are where they should be, slightly east of north
indicating they are xmting from Downers Grove, IL, their
normal site and not from WLS tower which is almost due
east.

What if they are just running
Non-directional off of one tower at the Downers Grove
site?

issue, making slow SAH of 28/minute = 0.47 Hz with KTOK
OKC mostly nulled. So again suspect it`s WMVP Chicago
(ex-WLUP, ex-WCFL), which with its direxional pattern
mostly eastward is not usually audible here. After my
previous log, I found a thread on IRCA March 30 discussing
WMVP also being heard westward into Nigel Pimblett`s
Alberta, extremely rare; Dennis Gibson points out they
have a CP for a 12 kW ND auxiliary at the WLS site which
they could be testing (Glenn Hauser, OK,  WORLD OF RADIO
1717, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

In tonight with an
excellent signal. I suspect 12kw unless conditions to
Chicago are exceptional and they are not.
