Sunrise enhancement was mostly conspicuous by its absence today;
conditions were much better between 1200 and 1300UT.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ had been heard with fair signal w/man in CC 1229UT, but
with changeover to the Japanese directional antenna, things got to
downright paint peeling, peaking about 1234UT w/organ mx after JJ
talk by woman (there was a weak reprise at 1430UT, w/man in CC, but
poor to fair at best)
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB man in JJ 1222UT, also man way underneath, DU EE? so maybe 3LO also
1116 4BC caught a nice but weaker "newstalk 4BC" by man 1216UT; best
strength at 1218UT w/man in DU EE
1287 JOHR woman in JJ 1408UT
1323 CRI man in RR 1207UT; ID'd at 1200UT w/chimes and fanfare but
quite a bit weaker on the hour
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti woman in FF 1353UT
828 JOBB likely, man in JJ 1205UT, no //s available
972 HLCA woman in KK 1424UT
1053 KK jammer 1251UT
1566 3NE? man in DU EE 1216UT, but by 1229UT, was HLAZ
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
594 JOAK? man talking, JJ inflection
612 4QR? woman talking, DU EE? 1422UT; also noted 1252UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
567 621 693 747 837 882 891 1179 1206 1503 1593
best wishes,
Nick
