An interesting though not spectacular morning, with quite a nice
enhancement from 1525 to 1540UT. I suspect there would have been
interesting NHK2 loggings if they hadn't signed off at 1510-15UT
today. Quite a lot of good carriers, with some high quality
domestic splatter to drown them out. 1278 had a really big carrier,
but no audio; somebody already signed off?
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ man in CC 1539UT
1593 CNR1 woman in CC 1535UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
738 Tahiti woman and man in FF 1347UT to past 1405UT, pretty much the
only DX around at this time. Completely readable if splatter let up
972 HLCA man and woman in KK 1424UT
1557 Taiwan likely w/pop mx 1539UT, vastly better on north Flag
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
603 HLSA likely male ballad followed by man talking slowly 1537-8UT
774 JOUB EE lessons battling w/splash 1423UT; also chimes at 1512UT s/off
1503 JOUK man in JJ //594
1575 VoA man in SE Asian language 1528UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
747 JOIB chimes 1511UT
1116 unID. two stations, slow female vocal mx, also man talking, CC
inflection? 1524UT
1242 a mess; man talking and pop mx, but something else w/ mx there
too? 1527UT, merciless splash
1287 JOHR? faint pop vocal flowed by JJ sounding talk by woman 1534UT
1494 unID. woman talking 1536UT CC?
1512 NHK2 faint chimes in splash 1513UT
1584 NHK1 man talking, briefly //1503UT 1528UT
1602 NHK2 nearly imaginary chimes 1512UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
657 1107 1278 1332 1359 1377 1386 1404 1422 (1602 huge carrier 1540UT)
best wishes,
Nick
