A bit more like mid winter conditions today, with the low band
regulars earlier on, but the upper band showing some other "regulars"
as sunrise approached. The SDR quit at 1520UT, but the signal
strength recorder says it should have hung in until 1530UT, when VoA
might have ID'd nicely on 1575. After 1530UT, things died quickly however.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ peaked to this level at various times from 1450 until
1520UT, e.g. piano mx, woman in CC 1448UT, CC singing by man and woman 1515UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
HLAZ passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB end of EE lessons "bye" 1259UT, pips and wx report
972 HLCA? man singing ballad 1332UT, but talk before and afterwards
was weaker, sounded KK?
1575 VoA likely 1505UT man SE Asian language?, woman responding;
pretty steady signal, next 10 minutes at least
1593 CNR1 man in CC //6030 1502-1504UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
567 JOIK? man talking, JJ inflection 1328UT; JOAK never quite made it today
747 JOIK man talking //774 1325UT
828 JOBB pips 1300UT into wx report //774
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
594 963 1143 1242 1296 1314 1323 1359 1422 1458 1494 1584
best wishes,
Nick
