[IRCA] TP 5 Nov, Victoria version

Nothing like the last couple of days, especially compared with Gary's observations/recordings. The best I can say is that HLCA hung in there, e.g., 1550UT, 40+ minutes after sunrise: http://www3.telus.net/public/shallpat/listen/972_20131105_1550.wav quite listenable. Still there for pips etc. by 1600UT, but getting ragged.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

279 R. Rossii 1404UT, woman in RR.
747 JOIB probably benefiting from lower splatter: s/off anthem 1540UT
774 JOUB 1430UT EE lessons

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK man and woman in JJ 1432UT, first appearance even this strong this morning. 639 CNR1 man in CC 1415UT man and woman in CC //6030, 1419UT, 640 mostly just a het from 639 by now. 972 HLCA quiet vocal mx, subcontracting from HLSA apparently, 603. In beyond 1600UT (see above). though not this strong
1566 HLAZ man in JJ 1301UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK man in JJ 1425UT
738 Tahiti likely, woman in FF 1424UT
828 JOBB EE lessons 1417UT
1017 CRI woman in KK 1404UT; chimes and fanfare a few minutes earlier, but weaker.
1053 jamming on 1401UT
1566 HLAZ man in CC 1452UT
1575 VoA man in SE Asian language 1459UT, then EE man "you're listening to the Voice of America"

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

558 HLQH quiet ballad 1420UT, no 603
603 HLSA presumed soft mx 1430UT, but couldn't snag //558 just then
702 NHK2 womab talking //774 1449UT
864 unID quiet femal vaocal mx 1436UT, strong carrier
1287 JOHR man talking, very poor 1602UT
1323 CRI stringed mx building to crescendo to chimes and fanfare at 1300UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):648

621 657 756 819 846 855 891 945 1098 1251 1593

best wishes,

Nick
