Tim, while you were pulling in the Evil Mouse on 1640, I THOUGHT I had KCBS in San Fran on 740.  Stayed glued to Zoomer Radio's "Big Band Sunday Night" after 0100 UTC, and along about 0125, something started messing with CFZM's signal.  Had the loop pointed west, so I knew it wasn't Fargo (and they were running Game 4 of the WS, anyway).  At 0132, I heard a definite "...with news on the hour..." in a liner.  Certainly sounds like something that would come from KCBS (or, for that matter, its sister station, WBBM), but then again it could just as well have been a promo from KRMG or KTRH, although the loop bearing wouldn't seem to suggest either of those two.  I will keep trying for California #4 here, and KCBS is probably my best best to earn that honor.

After a week of dedicated listening between 0115-0130 UTC on 1640, I
finally caught Radio Disney tonight for OR #2.  At 0125 UTC I heard pop
music which was // to 1690 KDDZ.  The signal was weak but still well
enough to trigger a lookup using the SoundHound song ID app which
returned "All Around the World" by a group called Mindless Behavior.
Reception only lasted a minute and it was gone.  1680 Fresno, CA. also
faded up briefly to a strong level at 0130 UTC with an ad for Fresno
First Bank.  A relog but not heard since last year during the last week
of October.  Last year's westward SSS DX was very memorable during this
time and I'm hoping conditions will improve even more in the coming
nights.
