That's a very impressive signal on 1098, and certainly nothing like I've ever heard on the frequency.

By way of reference, the 2013 WRTH does show Radio Taiwan International broadcasting on that frequency in Chinese with 300 kW to East Asia from 1300-1700UT daily.

Wow, Nick.  That was a powerful signal, and at that late time!  Must be
China, I'm sure.  ?Tibetan service?  I'm no Asian language expert, for
sure, but the music sure matches what I hear coming out of China.  I'm
