[IRCA] TP 10 Oct, Victoria version

Apologies for the delay in loggings, but this seems to have been the day that just won't quit; not exactly the description of this morning's DX, but as others have pointed out, the Asiatics are returning to the coast, and HLKB had only been heard on Gabriola Island this season up until now, so not entirely to be sneezed at.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK woman in JJ 1332UT
774 JOUB 1413UT CC lessons

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

891 JOHK assumed, man in JJ 1403UT, but no parallels available
891 HLKB also assumed, but man in KK at 1412UT, definitely not //594
1575 VoA assumed, SE Asian language by man 1414UT; this guy is seriously modulated...a good signal for a relatively unassuming carrier

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB EE lessons 1332UT //774
828 JOBB EE lessons 1330UT
1053 KK jammer 1324UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

693 JOAB woman in JJ //828 1401UT, sneaking past the 690 splash
972 HLCA man KK inflected talk 1325UT
1566 HLAZ assumed, man talking, CC inflection 1402UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

738 612

best wishes,

Nick
