Hello All,
Overall it was another mediocre morning for TP's here, but at least a couple of big gun Japanese started a halfhearted recovery program around 1400. Compared to Dennis' results, the Asian stations received here were far more limited-- probably because of the more northerly location during auroral conditions. It was also a short listening session here, wrapping up at 1403.
Once again the band was comatose at 1300, and it wasn't until 1340 that 738-Tahiti started showing up with poor French audio in and out. It looked like that would be the sum total of the morning until 594-JOAK faded in with fair to good signals at 1358, followed by 693-JOAB with fair signals at the 1400 TOH. 738-Tahiti never came up above a poor level, and the two Japanese big guns didn't stick around for long. It was definitely a forgettable morning, but after yesterday's near shutout, it's probably a modest step back to better conditions.
594 JOAK Tokyo, Japan Fair Japanese male speech in and out
at 1358; best TP signal of the morning
