[IRCA] TP DX for Monday Sept 30



Conditions today were reasonably good. Most of the logs were predictable with few surprises. 531 and 1476 finally produced some audio for the first time this season. Some of the Alaskans were back, including KGTL-620 making its first appearance of the season.

Good - Mostly understandable by a native speaker, if only for a brief time
594    JOAK,  signal peaking around 1336 w/JJ man & woman
620 KGTL, pop standards 1330 "Nobody does it better than KGTL" ID mixing w/remnants of KWAL, no sign of KPOJ
693    JOAB, CC lessons 1333
747    JOIB, CC lessons 1334
750 KFQD, "Channel 2 Sports" report ending 1347, "KFQD News Time 5:47" into news o/KERR/KXTG
774    JOUB CC lessons 1337
972 KBS, still good 1400 w/3+1 pips, fanfare & "Hanminjok Bangsong" ID, excited male talk, brief fadeout, then back at good level 1403 981 CNR1, 5+1 pips 1400, Beijing time check, a couple brief anmts, then standard "Zhongyang Renmin Guangbo Dientai" ID

1323 CRI, woman in RR 1336 weaker than 963 //, still there 1400 w/faint CRI trumpet fanfare 1575 VOA, not much audio today until 1335 when it faded up to OK but unimpressive level w/presumed Khmer pgm, still there after 1400

Poor - audio probably not understandable and in some cases barely audible
