Another slightly peculiar morning. Mostly the Asiatic first string,
but erratic, and there wasn't much in the way of supporting
carriers. Any carriers heard usually resolved themselves into weak
audio at some point. Really pretty splashy domestic interference today also.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not quite
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB man reading the weather reports in JJ 1314UT; also at this
level earlier w/EE lessons being confused by one of the announcers
being DU sounding at 1241UT
828 JOBB man w/wx reports 1318UT, into JOBB ID by woman at 1320UT,
and back to EE lessons
891 JOHK man in JJ //594 which was considerably weaker 1312UT; bit of
a surprise
1575 VoA woman in SE Asian language 1256UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
189 R. Rossii 6 pips at 1200UT, and R.Rossii mention by man
738 Tahiti man and woman in FF 1324UT
972 HLCA two men in KK, one on the phone
1053 KK jammer 1242 and 1255UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
531 faint vocal mx 1246UT, island sound? PI?
603 faint vocal mx 1244UT
612 woman DU EE inflection 1314UT
702 man talking, DU EE inflection, but rather livelier and more
commercial sounding than the usual ABC fare. 1249UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
738 747 873 1008 1287 1548
best wishes,
Nick
