Pretty dull morning today; started listening around 1240UT and just a
few of the first string Asians were heard, and it was tough slogging
hearing even those
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
dream on
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
still a fantasy
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti woman in FF briefly at 1301UT
828 JOBB man reading wx reports 1313UT, very briefly at this level,
then back into the gumbo
972 HLCA woman in KK battling with splash 1313UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
279 likely R. Rossii, man talking 1204UT
594 JOAK woman talking JJ inflection, pips on hour
747 JOIB man reading wx report //828 1314UT
774 JOUB? woman and man talking, sounded like EE lessons 1244UT
891 JOHK extreme minimalist DXing: pips //594 at 1300UT, that's it
1548 4QD a bit of a surprise among the Asians, but heard a bit of the
ABC nx fanfare 1300UT
1566 woman talking 1312UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
567 909 1053
best wishes,
Nick
