Hi Dennis (and Nick),

You should have plenty of targets, Dennis :-) Two major DU-DXpeditions will kick off on the Oregon coast within 2 weeks, both using some pretty fanatical antennas. By a quirk of scheduling, Bill, Chuck, Bruce and the Perseus-SDR group will be in Yachats (2 miles from the ocean cliff at Cape Perpetua), while I plan to be at the Rockwork cliff every morning (10 miles south of Cannon Beach).

Comparing the results of the Ultralight "Cliffhanger" DXpedition with those of the major Perseus-SDR DXpedition will be like comparing apples and oranges-- but there should be some pretty "heavy-duty" apples and oranges.

73, Gary

Nick,

I started listening at 1130 utc and no audio was heard. Hoping to DX daily
around the 1200 utc hour starting today. Can't wait to read Gary's reports from
the Oregon Coast.

His receptions will give me targets to shoot for in the coming months.

Best regards,

Dennis,
Kalama, WA

I wasn't listening (or, more properly, recording) that late this
morning Dennis. Sounds like I should have been.

It was another minimal carrier morning here, with 531, 567, 738, and
1566 all somewhat stronger carriers, in fact, with judicious use of
synchronous detection, all had "imaginary" traces of audio, but I'll
call them carriers. 1566 even had a SAH on it as well.

best wishes,

Nick
