Lots more DU evidence today. Probably spent too much time with the
recording this evening, finding traces of audio.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
not today
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
not today either
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti woman in FF talk 1215UT
1503 R. Sport, had been at reasonable level since about 1150UT, rock
mx across hour, then R. Sport mention by man shortly after 1200UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
279 R. Rossii 1100UT, 6 pips across hour, little else
774 relaxed stringed mx 1118UT, gone shortly after 1120UT; right time
for Asia, but little else beyond a good carrier on 594 just then
909 possibly Southern Star 1156UT slow vocal mx, but could never get
this and 963 at the same time
963 possible Southern Star 1154UT slow vocal mx, big carrier
1323 woman talking 1152 UT, DU EE inflection, Newstalk ZB?
1575 man talking 1159UT, possibly DU EE inflection; single pip on hour
1593 rhythmic mx 1158UT
1611 2 pips heard at 1200UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
594 612 675 684 756 1008;1017 SAH; 1701 hum
best wishes,
Nick
