I guess I'm out on an island, then. Apart from enjoying the resurrected 99 Plus KFMH on the internet, radio is ALL I listen to. When you can find stations that are devoted to the concept of local programming (and, yes, folks, they ARE out there, despite what popular opinion might tell you), that makes listening to over-the-air radio completely worth it.
I've stated this before, and will again now -- I'm going to milk this hobby for all it's worth for as long as it's around. I know that the NDBs are rapidly disappearing, but there is always AM to fall back on. And if AM radio ever goes away, then I'll just DX FM stations.
Now, if FM ever goes away and there's nothing left to DX out there (and I hope like HELL that never happens), then I have no idea what I'll do. I enjoy this hobby too much and have made too many friends in it to watch it dry up and wither away before my eyes.
73,
Rick (remaining optimistic, and hoping I'm not alone) Dau
South Omaha, Nebraska

I agree. I carry CDs with me, hardly ever listen to radio.

FM is about finished as well. Their idea of content is three minutes of
"content" followed by 10 minutes of "spots". This model is not usable to me
either.
