[IRCA] TP 9 Apr; Victoria version

Not as good a morning, but still exclusively Asiatic, and still very erratic. Only HLAZ really showed its colors, and some serious mining of the SDR recording was needed for some of the others.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

HLAZ 1324 UT woman in JJ, followed by woman singing JJ; FEBC Nihongo mention at 1327; in as late as 1335UT. Heard also 1300, 1318 etc.

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 JOUB briefly at this level 1304UT with weather reports

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

828 JOBB w/wx reports //774 1304UT
1053 KK jammer 1308

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567 JOIK pips at 1300UT
594 JOAK pips at 1300UT
747 JOIB wx reports 1307UT
972 HLCA? woman talking 1317UT
1134 unID man talking 1313UT
1287 JOHR? woman talking 1300UT
1323 unID woman talking 1322UT, maybe //5915, but if so, was slightly offset, enough to confuse things; heard as late as 1333UT. Bit of a surprise if it was CRI at this time of year, but can't think what else it would be.

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

1008 1422 1593

best wishes,

Nick
