Re: [IRCA] Best-Ever Signal Here on 1610-Anguilla Beacon

Patrick,

Thanks for sharing your 1610 kHz results last night-- and I'm not surprised that you could also receive 1610-Anguilla at your excellent Seaside location.

For some unknown reason CHHA in Toronto never makes it here, despite the relatively open frequency. The 1610-Anguilla beacon is also usually inaudible, except on rare days in the spring season. At night here it's usually a very weak contest between the 1610 kHz TIS stations in Yakima, Aberdeen and eastern Oregon. None of these flea-powered stations have any real strength, though, so during the rare occasions when Caribbean propagation really kicks in the 1610-Anguilla beacon can easily overpower them all, and boom in on the frequency.

Gary,

I heard it last night pretty well for a while, but later at 0504 EST,
CHHA Toronto took over the frequency with "O Canada", followed by SS
programming, then by 0530 it was Caribbean Beacon again.
