Got up just before 1330UT (hey, it's Sunday), looked at the
Fishbarrel lit up like a Christmas tree, and headed off to the radio
room. Asia has returned with a vengeance; and looking at the
various indices does not explain anything, unless we're on the cusp
of another geomagnetic upset.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
774 JOUB man in JJ, then EE lessons 1338UT, and a number of other
times; this was still delivering readable audio 10 minutes after
local sunrise here.
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA man in KK, and singing musical notes (tum, tum, tum-ti-tum;
this station sounds like fun), 1340UT
1053 KK jammer whooshing away 1343UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK man in JJ //594 1344UT
594 JOAK man in JJ 1339UT
603 unID man and woman talking incomprehensibly, then faded up to
light guitar mx w/female vocal, 1351UT
828 JOBB man in JJ //774 1355UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
558 unID. slow female vocal mx 1358UT, no 603 available at this time.
648 orchestral mx 1357UT, soon faded, along with most everything else
by the hour
747 JOIB EE lessons //774 1404UT
864 unID. man and woman talking 1352UT, JJ inflection?
891 JOHK man and woman talking //594 1345UT
945 CNR1 man in woman in CC //6126 1352UT,
1215 unID. man talking, rapid-fire (JJ inflection? but 2kw is
strongest listed so unlikely) 1346UT
1566 man talking, CC inflection 1401UT, likely HLAZ
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
675, 873 1098 1134 1206 1278 (near imaginary audio on a few of these,
so claimed as carriers)
best wishes,
Nick
