[IRCA] The KBXD 1480 DX Test

I wanted to wait to address the masses and see what information I could
gather.

I have a friend on the other side of the bay from Mobile, AL near Fairhope,
Alabama who says he heard morse code on 1480 Saturday Night/Sunday morning.
i am the one who created the test material for 1480's test, so i sent him
the file that should've played when he said he heard it. He tells me the
file I sent .. he's about 80 percent sure that's exactly what he heard.

Jerry at KBXD tells me he was out of town and the tones did run at the
scheduled times, but due to a  mechanical malfunction, the station stayed
on 1900W/4 tower  night power-pattern instead of the 50KW/6 tower day
power-pattern.

Now, as to why the tones weren't heard on the stream.. it is entirely
possible the stream is fed off a program bus of the console..... and the
tones were played after the stream but before the transmitter.

We will most likely reschedule the test again in a few weeks.
