As Gary, Dennis and Bill all noted, it was the morning of
1575. However, I can't say my reception of VoA was quite in the barn
burning category that Gary and Dennis described. It was good at
times, but not as good or consistent as a couple of days ago. It
was however the only DX to speak of when I listened around 1345 and
1415UT, and kept my ears and eyes open the rest of the time.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
1575 VoA man in SE Asian language 1353UT, still fading up to
reasonable levels at 1423UT
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
nope
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
nada
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
738 woman talking, FF inflection? 1348UT
1503 man talking 1351UT
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
558 567 594 774 1323 1557
best wishes,
Nick
