W4HM DISCUSSION OF DAILY SOLAR SPACE AND GEOMAGNETIC WEATHER-

For Friday February 22, 2013

Solar activity is low as far as the emergence of the number of new sunspot 
groups. Currently there are 3 new un-numbered sunspot groups and 4 existing 
numbered sunspot groups.

Solar activity is low as far as the number of solar flares, 6 occurred. The 
largest solar flare in magnitude was a small in size C1.0, which occurred at 
approximately N11W80 and associated with sunspot group #11678. This average 
sunspot group which has now rotated around the western limb of the sun, was 
hyped in the science ignorant state run media as something really 
extraordinary. Some ignorant irresponsible reporter-ette blamed the 
existence of this sunspot group on harmful man induced (anthropogenic) 
global warming (climate change).

The daily solar flux index (SFI) has been at or above 100 for 22 consecutive 
days, currently (NOAA) at 109.0.

The daily sunspot number (SSN) has been below 100 for 3 consecutive days, 
currently (NOAA) at 79.

The geomagnetic field has been other than quiet for 3 consecutive days with 
the Kp (planetary) index reaching a 3 for 12 hours, which is unsettled 
geomagnetic conditions.

As collected by Potsdam Germany WDC the 3 hour Kp (planetary) intervals were 
33223223. As collected by NOAA/SWPC the 3 hour Kp (planetary) intervals were 
22223223.

The Dst ranged between -8 and -19.

Via SOHO the maximum and minimum solar wind values were 353-395.

Via NOAA the maximum background x-ray solar flux value was B2.3.
